Test 1
Our first test of the desk involved the sliders and the foldable legs. To test the sliders, we made sure the the removable desk was in place, pushed back all the way with both pairs of sliders in position. We then slid the desk in and out of place. To pass this part of the test, the desk had to slide in and out with relative ease. To test the function of the foldable legs, we flipped the desk over and lightly pulled up on each leg. To pass this part of the test, each leg had to stay in its folded position without moving out of place. We then tested the legs ability to fold down, we did this by pressing the hinge latches and pushing down on the legs.
Test 2
Our second test was to see if the smaller desk can be used on a bed, couch etc. We tested this by bringing the removable part of the desk home. It was very easy to carry and super portable making transporting it easy. Once I had it home I then brought it to a bed. Using on a bed was super easy. Due to my body sinking into the bed a little the desk fit perfectly over my legs and provided a nice workspace for me to use a laptop, paper and pencil, etc. I then folded the legs back in and brought it to my couch. Once again the desk worked perfectly. It fit over my legs just right and didn't take up too much room of the couch. It gave me a perfect workspace. I only conducted the test twice. This is because after the second time I knew the desk was good and it didn't just work well by chance on the first try. Nothing went wrong during testing which was great. Our final results were that our product passed the test and it worked super well.
Adjustments
Our product passed both tests so we didn't make any adjustments to it. We felt nothing needed to be changed to make it better.
Individual Summary
The testing went very well and we didn't have no problems. This was super good because we were limited on time and would've had to rush to fix a problem. Mr. Timmons was our mentor who reviewed our product. He said that he really loved the idea and how we put it all together. One thing he said though is we could have worked on our carpentry skills better. He said some of the placements of screws and the wood were off a little bit making the removable desk part a bit crooked. Otherwise Mr. Timmons really liked the product and thought it was a awesome idea.
