Define A Problem
The project we had to do was build a miniature train. We had to do this by building 10 different parts then assembling them together to make the train.
Generate Concepts
To start modeling I would look at the dimensions of the object and see what part of the object the dimensions goes to. Also to make it easier so I didn't mess up I looked up youtube videos on how to create them.

When i showed my friends and family my train they were surprised that I made the train all on the computer. They asked things like "Was it Hard" "Did it take long" and "Why those colors". I told them that it wasn't too hard and it didn't take long. Also i told them I just picked random colors. LastlyI asked them if they wanted to see my train drive on the tracks, they all said yes. I showed them my youtube video of the train driving and they were shocked.
Present Solution
I faced many challenges when assembling my train. One challenged I faced was creating the parts. At first it took me a long time to create the parts, but I looked up youtube videos on how to create them and it helped me a lot. Another challenge I faced was assembling the train together. I had to look up a youtube video on how to do it because I could not do it by myself. The last challenge I faced was making my train drive on the track. This part was very confusing to do because I have never done anything like it before. I looked up a youtube video on it and finally got it after a while. The skills I learned were how to make wheels move in inventor. I also learned how to use the driving constraint. Lastly I learned how to use all the different views. The section view (which I used on the wheel) is used to show part of the object that you can’t see from the normal view. The auxiliary view (which I used on the cow catcher) is used to show a surfaced that is angled. The broken view (which I used on the linkage peg) is used to shorten the length of a object when it’s full length is not needed. Symbols are used instead of words to identify hole types because it is a lot easier to understand symbols faster than words. Also the symbols show exactly what the hole looks like. We need tolerances because they make sue the project still works when materials shift and flex.
